Turn off standby on V6 box?
 

Hi, my V6 tivo box has just started to pop up with the "will shut down' standby mode every 30 mins, really annoying, I have looked in the settings but can't seem to find how to turn this off, it never use to pop up, at help please

Look in power settings, should be something like 'always on'.

Thanks, just checked and the "always on" is ticked, so I don't know why I still get the shutting down pop up box, I even changed my remote batteries as I thought it could be that

The auto power off message should only show after 4 hours, not 30 minutes.
My other thought is a sticky standby button on the remote.

Is it definitely the same message that you get when you press the standby button?

If so, it could be caused by something else in the room generating IR signals that the V6 box thinks is a "standby" command. Try covering up the panel on the front of the box and see if it stops happening.

This sounds to be a tv message and not TiVo.

If it was TiVo - pressing OK on TiVo remote would clear it.

Next time try pressing OK on the tv remote.

My sisters TV also has the shout down message.
