Eurovision song contest 2018

I won't be watching it, but will be supporting our entry as she was born in my town Harlow.

Also the late Rik Mayell was born here.

No point. It's all political voting and we'll be screwed for the temerity of voting to leave the EU.

Song is crap anyway but that's the penalty of letting the PC BBC run the show.

As soon as someone in our family watches it then it is off to the other room.

I skip the actual main contest and just watch the point allocation process. It's really funny watching neighbours vote top points, for their neighbours.

We have the popcorn in and will be having our usual laugh over the whole thing. Watching it with my kids is priceless. Their disbelieving, open-mouthed amazement is entertaining in itself. :D

UK had their/our song destroyed mid performance. Amateur level security.

In protest, someone breached the stage and every other layer of security to grab her mic mid performance and scream Nazis of the UK media. Great job on the protest though  making someone feel so small and embarrassing her on Live TV watched by millions, way to make yourself look like a gigantic asshole.

Could now work in favour, just seen the UK's odds drop from 200/1 to 12/1

She's decided not to perform again, as above this may go in favour. Then again performing again may shorten those odds further.

Aussie TV take on it: https://twitter.com/tibutler/status/...849183744?s=21

Bit like when kanye west did it to that young girl/woman at that award ceremony. I did laugh though, doughnut tonight was protesting about a lack of freedom only to be arrested immediately after, what a buffoon

The European Broadcasting Union has had members from far beyond continental Europe for decades. Apparently a number of Arab middle eastern countries are also eligible to participate due to their EBU membership, but they don’t because Israel does.
