unintentional installs
I have just done the latest Win 10 1803 update on my wife's laptop. In the list of installed programs I found Bubble Witch Saga, Candy Crush Saga, a Disney program and one other Dungeons & Dragons type of program.
She is absolutely adamant that she has not downloaded or installed any of these, got rather angry when I mentioned it.:( She is not the best when it comes to tech so how can she have done this without knowing? |
Re: unintentional installs
Easy, if downloading or installing anything she may have not "unticked" the boxes.
Same old, same old. Read what's in front of you. |
Re: unintentional installs
I wish you could tell her that.;)
Anyone who has stayed married for over 40 years will know just how hard it is to tell a woman anything they don't want to hear. She insists she hasn't done it but they are all there, or were until I deleted them all.:) Not sure if it is related but the strange pop up I thought was caused by the Win 10 update has now gone??? |
Re: unintentional installs
I think they are related to Facebook? Nothing to do with Microsoft or Windows.

Re: unintentional installs
I have learned over many years a man cannot tell a woman anything, just move on and accept it.

I think I am going to have to do a weekly audit on her PC from now on.:) |
