He will be sorely missed - I used to love watching the Film(fill in year) review programmes he fronted he loved the movies, and it showed.

Indeed he will be sorely missed as he was like a kid in a sweet shop talking and reviewing films for several decades..:(

I was reading his article in this week's Radio Times this morning.

He was never pretentious in his critiques either.

Yep, used to look forward to his programmes. Gave up when Ross took over. RIP Mr Film.

Remember him fondly from my childhood. For some reason I can vividly remember his review of Robocop 2. Clearly he didn't enjoy the film but was generous in his appraisal.
