Probs sending from a VM account
 
I am having problems sending to one of VM secondary accounts.
It used to work. I am sending fro Windows Live Mail 2012, works fine for may other VM mail accounts.
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Subject 'Read: first.last@virginmedia.com

Server: 'smtp.virginmedia.com

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 465

Secure(SSL): No

I'm pretty sure the Secure (SSL) option should be set to yes.

I have tried SSL to yes but still unable to send mail

I have now found the problem fix.


The latest Microsoft updates screwed my settings, I reinterred the correct settings and now all is OK.

I like the way this was titled as a problem sending from a VM account when it was the opposite.
