"What is a must have is six-times recording".

"What is a must have is six-times recording [where the new box records six shows simultaneously], that's what they really want."

Really?

What kind of square-eyed telly addict would you have to be to spot six unmissable things in the same time slot?

Football matches is where it would come in handy, specifically Champions League. Being able to record 6 at once means you could record almost every match so there's less chance of missing out on the surprisingly great ones like the recent 8-4 Dortmund match.

Where does it stop? Record 12 with two V6s and watch two others...

Why does it have to stop? If there is no downside to it then i don't see the issue.

There's already a huge thread on the box here btw http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...02913&page=104

Its a nice to have, but seriously not a must have.

The most I have ever needed is three at the same time.

(Esp when almost everything is available on some form of catch-up service these days)

I've found it to be very useful at peak times.

No having to rearrange to record repeat showings on SD channels etc.

Most of the shows I want to record are often within the 8pm to 11pm period, and I usually have to jiggle the recordings so that I catch some at other times or dates.

So the ability to record more at the original transmission time would be an advantage to me.

Yes it is the same in our household Taf.

From the Daily Mail:

Quote:

- Includes a 'Find My Remote' feature, in which the remote loudly beeps when a button is pressed on the front of the main TV box
That might be useful in our house.....

Sounds good to me I am always seeing clashes in my recordings, I really watch live TV as work shifts and I had adverts.

The sort of person who doesn't have a life or job and sits in front of the telly 20 hours a day :D

I've never hit a recording clash on my TiVo, not once. But then I struggle to find many compelling shows to watch when I sit down to watch TV. Anything I want to see I've usually acquired anyhow.
