I honestly cannot understand what is wrong with people to take offence with this article.

In NO way is the comment racist.

Why cannot the company just plainly say. Please go away. What the guy has said is in no way a racist remark.

Have to say most of the beggars I come across aren't immigrants, whether they are genuine or not is always the dilemma.

I get called loads of names each day, especially by my wife ha ha. But l look at it this way. I get name calling go through the left ear and out the right ear. Simples

Do those facebook warriors equally condemn the British beggars hanging around the bars in the Bigg Market .It was racist but that's not to say he shouldn't have moved the beggar on ,the way the operator did it was asking for trouble

Another colossal waste of time because of the "I'm offended" idiots.

Its not even remotely racist, nor is it "offensive", and how did this even "offended" any passengers ?
The only person with anything to moan about would be the begger, but nothing suggests they complained.

What a bunch of no hopers these people have become, how do they manage to survive life when they are so easily "offended" by everything.

Racism has become almost an industry with many happy to shout it and accuse others of being it, it's a great way to shut up people you can't argue against and the media has aided in spreading the gospel of racism.

Since when is "eastern European" a race, so quick to label people and admonish them without stopping to check whether the label fits

That's part of what makes it racist ,the station is unmanned so the announcer had no idea where the beggar was from and made an assumption based on looks or their own personal feelings towards 'foreigners' .Like i said earlier ,the announcer was right to move the beggar on it's just the choice of words was wrong
