Asda fined £664k for filthy bakery after customer ate roll covered in mouse droppings

This members is just the tip of the iceberg, as far as l am concerned.

Big stores will always come out with the same excuse. I worked for ten years for a deep cleaning of Kitchens area's. And we were always in work. Working in rat infested kitchens

Stores WILL NOT pay the money, they will expect staff to do the cleaning. I worked in prisons where the kitchen equipment is lifted off the floor. And the rats will gather underneath because of the warmth.

I have worked in restaurant's where, cleaning is carried out. And workers have been underneath preparing food. We just stopped working.

I have cleaned various establishments. And the cleanest in my opinion was McDonalds.

General Hygiene is paramount in my opinion. But shops and major stores are not concerned about the cleaning, as it will cost money.

I could write a novel of what l have seen.:(

Re: Stores won't learn

My first job was in McDonalds, I can remember being tasked with taking burgers from the freezer and putting them in side cupboards next to the grills.

As I was about to put the box which had around 200 burgers split, and one stack of about 10-15 burgers fell onto the floor.

I was told to bin the entire lot even though only the bottom one touched the floor.

We should compile a list of all the places Arthur has worked, so many now I'm losing track.

No. I look after the vulnerable people of this country. And love every minute of it. Been doing it for the past seven years
