Bobby Vee, best known for hits including Rubber Ball, Take Good Care of My Baby and The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.
Timeless songs for those of us of a certain age :) RIP.

Real snow in Winter, coal fires, Sunday Night at the London Palladium, bus conductors, winkle pickers, foghorns, mods and rockers. Sigh. The songs are timeless but we are not Den.

We still have real snow in Winter, not sure about the rest though.

Perhaps when I was smaller the snow seemed deeper. Other things of that time: LSD, free love, the Vietnam War, corned beef, no computers, no central heating, ice on the inside of the bedroom window, the 11 plus and it seemed like everyone smoked.

The snow was deeper! I remember one winter in the 60's when the snowdrifts reached the top of telegraph poles, people being snowed-in on a regular basis and in the late 70's going into a pub one evening and attempting to go home at 11.30 to be met with a 4ft wall of snow that wasn't there 30 mins earlier.

It was a good lock in though.:D

I thought so. Kids today think sleet is life threatening. Ok, enough or we'll become the 4 Yorshiremen;)

RIP Bobby Vee.
