Speed Issues / Power Levels
3 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
Long time no post here... regrettably getting horrible speeds and only about 5mb on a 150mb package now. Could somebody check these power levels? Many thanks. |
Re: Speed Issues / Power Levels
Upstream is too high, errors and poor snr on 227mhz. Check the connector into the modem, if it's loose tighten it up and the levels may well fall back into spec

Re: Speed Issues / Power Levels
I think it's a loose connection somewhere, 219mhz and 227 always seem to be affected by a loose connector. And I've had a few recently with upstream being affected as well, which I hadn't seen until recently. I could be wrong, it's hard to detirmine without being there. Back when I was a service tech if I had a customer complaining ceebeebies was breaking up, it was carried on 219mhz then, and was almost always a loose connector.

Re: Speed Issues / Power Levels
As well as the SNR issue above you only have a marginal single upstream channel on QAM32. Power level is too high for a reliable connection and is probably resulting in high packet loss and consequent poor speeds.
If there are no wiring issues as suggested above and no return path attenuators on the back of the hub you'll need a tech visit. |
