broadband usage email from virgin
 

I have twice been sent an email telling me my broadband usage is almost full for the month and to obtain an extension they request £7.95 extra for unlimited.

I have always been unlimited and have not seen any demand like this before, is it some scam?

Have you recently changed packages?

VM has recently started to offer 50 gb capped packages for a discounted rate.

It appears virgin do now have a capped broadband rate 30gbs. Back in May this year I complained about a virgin increase and they fitted me up with a 20gb speed but never told me I had a capped account. They covered it up by putting 20 fibre 30gbs data at £31 per month and unlimited telephone calls to the contract.

But they automatically charge me £7.95 extra if I exceed also never mentioned.

So anyone got any recommendations to compete please.
