BBC4 off Air- VM only?

BBC4 has failed to start at 7pm.

Anyone know why?

Is this just VM only?

It's currently showing the VM off air slate.

Now broadcasting.

First half hour of my recording is the the off air slate; can't VM do anything right?

Do you have any cause to blame Virgin Media?

I've now found out that it was broadcasting properly on the other platforms, so it looks like either VM didn't switch from the off air slate to the BBC4 HD feed, or it's another oddity that's appearing since the TiVo software update.

I tried the children's channel that it timeshares with and that had an off air slate too, as I remember that at one time CBeebies appeared on BBC4 during its downtime and BBC4 would appear on CBeebies during its downtime.

could be that the tuner you were tuned to BBC4 on, pre 7PM, needed a channel up & down to get past the off air slate (barker?)

happens most often when you try and record the first BBC4 programme of the evening.

this has been a bug in the TiVO software for quite a while, nothing to do with the recent upgrade.

Bet that was it then- thanks for explaining.
