Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
1 Attachment(s)
I hate to say this but I have well and truly had enough now. I have been ever so patient on this matter. It's even more of a slap in the face that prices are going up for the same old useless service. Pay more for worse service. Excellent!
How about I get provided for the speed I pay for first of all? I keep complaining, I'm told Yes Sir, It's being looked into and will be fixed on this date. Even went as high as the Exec Team TWICE, who assured me Yes Sir it will be fixed. Yes I get a slight discount of £10 for the degraded service, but thats IMO not a lot for the ongoing hassle. I essentially have a connection I CAN'T use during peak hours. I'm sick of phoning up, Sick of posting about this. I just want a working stable internet connection. Just look at the latency on this along with packet loss, as you can see already it's turned to crap yet again. This is meant to be a 100mb line This issue has been ongoing since Nov 2014 and I'm at the end of my patience. Every fix date keeps getting pushed back. Been a customer since NTL 128KB Broadband days. Don't screw over the loyal long term customers Virgin! I posted this exact same message on Virgins Forums, But I guess pigs will fly before my issue is fixed. Virgin Media Post |
Re: Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
Did you ask if you could be moved on the network?
|
Re: Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
Nope, Had no idea this was possible.
Whats it entail and how exactly would it work. |
Re: Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
Sadly there's nowhere to move you to without moving a bunch of other people, and having something to move you to :(
They should be able to provide you a fault number for this along with a target review date. |

Only been open since before November 2014 and chasing constantly. It's mentally draining. The review date is as reliable as ****ing in the wind. |
Re: Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
if its that bad consider moving provider. PC World have good Sky deals on at the moment via simplify digital. TV boxsets bundle, sky fibre max + anytime calls for around £30 for 12months. £10 less gets you ADSL. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/compar...ommercial.html

Re: Speed issues in Bromley and ongoing!
Not sure if you're on the same node/affected area as us (BR3 Park Langley), but we've had our 100Mb service reduced to 2-3 Mb during peak hours (until about 11pm.) Noticed since August but apparently the fault was logged in July.
We managed to negotiate the £10 discount, plus another 6 months £3 off in compensation for the price rises. It doesn't really make up for an unusable service in the evening though. Unfortunately for us, there's no alternative provider as BT have spent the last 8 years trying without success to get their local cabinet upgraded (or a new one built?) The original site as planned turned out to be unfeasible due to undocumented utilities/services in the area. So the only option is to go back to 4-5Mb ADSL, which might actually be a better bet. Right now the BT cabinet is showing as 3-4 months away, but I don't really believe it ... |
