I hope those injured by the pipe bomb are OK. The people who initiate these hateful acts are beyond contempt and don't care who they hurt.

The second, unexploded, devise is described as being a pressure cooker, as I use one of these at least a couple of times a week I will have to take more care but I guess it serves the purpose of an off the shelf pipe bomb. Scary.

I believe the Boston marathon bombs were pressure cooker based devices. Perfectly safe domestically but when packed with explosives...

Meanwhile there's been a multiple stabbing and fatality (the perpetrator) in Minnesota:

Quote:

At least eight people were wounded in a stabbing attack at a shopping mall in the US state of Minnesota, before the suspected attacker was shot dead by police, officials say.
The attack happened in St Cloud, 70 miles (110km) north-west of Minneapolis. The motive is unclear.
The suspected attacker reportedly made references to Allah before he was killed.
None of the injuries were life-threatening, local police said.

Too early to say if these events were in any way linked.

Check the differing reactions from Clinton and Trump!

Trump clearly being an idiot as usual and Clinton being a lot more like someone who wants to run the country properly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume you meant 'in' so changed the quote to avoid confusion. But yeah, I thought the whole place was Manhattan Island and anything inside would be a borough of Manhattan.

Anyone wanting to know what these pressure cooker bombs look like

Quick key - Blue = Phone/Trigger
Red = Duct tape keeping the handle closed.
Black = Wiring and duct tape, wiring links to the phone.

I don't think he knows or his supporters care. I think he appeals to a lot of them because they feel, rightly or wrongly, that he 'says it like it is' and isn't PC obsessed.

No point speculating anyway. It could be Islamic terrorism, or far-right terrorism or just some other nutjob. We'll find out soon enough.

You're forgetting the 'government conspiracy' option.

I was a act of terrorism sadly but no evidence of international terrorism.

Why 'sadly'?

l think its rather obvious that no one likes to see these types of violent acts be they by a individual or by a group but sadly nowadays it seems to be happening a lot more then it used to.

Making people think it was a terrorist group or something when no facts were known at the time.

It could easily just be a mental white American than a member of IS or other groups.

Riling people up, telling them to get vigilant.
