Which contracts are affected by getting a TiVo

I have phone, BB & TV.

Last March I got a TiVo which put me on a new one year contract.

Will this have been just for the TV or all three services?

Thank you.

One would presume you would be on a bundle for all three rather than separate services which would normally be the most Cost effective

Myvirginmedia online or your bill would be the key here

Most bundles are all service re-contracting as the bundle deal is dependent on you having all the services in the deal.

Many thanks.

Will I be able to use the November price rise to cancel just TiVo or all three?

I'm happy to keep BB & phone with VM, but am looking to get a Freesat PVR or a Freeview PVR for TV.

The problem is that it appears to be cheaper to have a landline, even if you don't use it, than have BB only.

If I can cancel all three, I guess I could go to another provider like Plusnet for BB, get a £5 a month rolling contract SIM for my Virgin mobile phone and use Freesat, Freeview and streaming services for Pay TV.

The problem with this is that I will probably have to take two or three services to get the best deal.

Alternatively, my satellite wiring needs to be replaced, so as much as I dislike Sky, I may take a good deal from them for a year as it will work out cheaper to get them to pay for the installation, keep a minimum sub for a year and flog the box afterwards!

You, the consumer have the power here

I believe Vm have confirmed that the prices will null and void any existing contract should you wish to leave aka penalty free

After that you hold all decision as what you want to do, although the starting point will be a new contract but no one has to accept face value prices, you can negotiate and I find being polite and calm and not going into a rant and anger usually helps. Also do your homework before phoning; if you know sky can do it cheaper then provide this and see if Vm can match it

No harm in trying end of the day if you don't want it you don't have to have it with VM
