Upgrade finally here

Hi all after some advice. I've just been onto my virgin media and it says that vivid 200 is finally out in my area. but on the conformation screen it Said there might be a price increase. I'm on what I assume is there top tier. bb152. XL tv, phone plus the usual skysports & movies + boxnation. Can it be true about the price rise? Is it really worth getting? Will it improve streaming?

You need to double check which tier you are on. The customers who are on the highest tier which was 152mbits get a free upgrade to 200mbits and you can check when that is going to happen here. If it says there might be a price increase it sounds like you are on the next tier down and have already been upgraded to 150mbits (new tier speed) from 100mbits. If you are a new customer you wouldn't have been made aware of that because they automatically give you the new upgraded speed for that tier even if it isn't available yet just to make the price sound good. Either way, the speed increase is noticeable and worth it but only for chunky downloads. You can only watch stuff at a certain speed no matter how fast you download it and the extra juice won't make any difference at all.
