Getting High Packet Loss Online, Best Way To Fix?

I've been trying to play online on Xbox One and it seems my ping fluctuates massively.

I also did a test and it said I had 100% packet loss too?

Any ideas how to correct the packet loss as I'm guessing that will affect my latency?

If you had 100% packet loss you wouldn't be able to use the internet so that's more than likely wrong.

Well I couldn't connect to Xbox Live at all, I somehow after a few minutes got it to sing me in, never happened before - then my packet loss was between 1-20% - can I test this on a PC?

For whatever reason, it says I don't have Java installed when I definitely have the latest versions on either IE or Chrome so can't do the packet loss test.

If I was getting packet loss though, what's the fix for it?

There isn't one that i know of short of calling Virgin about it but i doubt that's exactly a reason you can ring up about unless someone corrects me.
