Signal dropping
Hi I was having a problem with my wifi signal dropping and occasionally the ethernet signal dropped so i reported it and an engineer attended last Saturday and he said my power levels were all over the place and so he did something in the box and then fitted a HDU-200 device to my cable which he said was better than the splitter that was previously install so my question is:
Is this the way to go and will this device installed on Saturday solve my problems ???. Thanks in advance |
Re: Signal dropping
Click this link, scroll down to the sixth post and do as instructed. You might need to go to http://192.168.0.1 and no the 100.1 as stated.

Re: Signal dropping
I am back dude, I didn't have a lot of time this morning. To cut a long story short the only way you will if it has worked is if your symptoms (the disconnections) subside and/or your power levels have been brought back inline (hence my previous post).

Easy way to answer: Has it fixed your issues?

Re: Signal dropping
General Maximus thanks for reply and I have been monitoring power levels since that gadget was installed and everything so far looks good and hope it stays that way but was wondering if i was the only one to get this installed or is it the way virgin are going now to sort out the level.

Re: Signal dropping
it depends whether the issue is unique to you or a wider network problem. If it is en mass then they will change setting there end but if it is only affecting you because of a wiring issue or something then they'll do what they have done. It isn't a cheap fix and they have done the right thing.
