Google Play not accessible.

At present I can reach the store through my PC and my Samsung smartphone through my VM Wifi BUT I can't do so through my Samsung Tab A..I've cleaned and maintained but had so much trouble just downloading the latest upgrade to lollipop let alone use the google search engine. When I was able to connect it took so long to download anything.Even an online chat with a rep at Google Play hasn't helped.

Anyone got any idea what else I can do?

Does it give an error or just the no connection dropouts all the time?

I'll assume its all stock firmware/OS?

As it is there's virtually no definitive support for troubleshooting play store issues. I also rooted all my devices to use CM and preflash Gapps inc the Play Store. Naturally its not removable on stock but you can remove updates and clear the cache which I'll assume that was part of your maintenance attempts.

I have discovered that I can tether to my Smartphone and download that way but that just eats into my data allowance. It's not just google store now it's every app and browser.

A complete reset looks on the cards..

Re: Google Play not accessible.

So. Router > WiFi > Tab = No connection
Phone > WiFi > Tab = Connection fine ?

I had this issue on an old S3, Mobile data would function but my WiFi via VM just wouldn't work unless I reset the router. Worth a shot if you haven't already. Yes the Router was already functioning fine for my other devices too, was a strange one.

In fact this still happens from time to time now on the HTC one M9.

I rarely to to the actual VM section anymore so this may not matter or have never mattered:

The DHCP setting in the router. There have to be enough addresses for the tab to get one. (If you allow 5 addresses and 5 devices are already connected, the phone won't get an IP address.)

Try swapping the device between the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi options.

If you have a friend try using a device there so as to eliminate your device.
