Sharapova Banned

Going to be precious few Russians about in sport if the alleged doping abuses result in more and more bans. |
Re: Sharipova Banned
If one cheats then one has to expect the consequences if they get caught.

Re: Sharipova Banned
I think she may have been badly advised rather than deliberate cheating seeing as the "drug" was quite legal until recently.
Still examples must be set. |

Re: Sharapova Banned
IIRC she didn't open a email from WADA that had a updated list of banned drugs.
A few years back a guy had been using a UK Vicks nasal inhaler, and bought a replacement in the USA, but didn't know it has a banned ingredient. |

The grunting will be missed by all... not.

Re: Sharapova Banned
It was deliberate cheating. It may not have been on the banned list, but she took the drug to enhance her performance. It wasn't a dodgy food supplement, it was a medical drug usually prescribed to people with true medical conditions. The date the ban started was arbitrary. It could have been a month or a year earlier.

Re: Sharapova Banned
The statement said that she has no current medical reason for using the drug. So if she has no medical need for it, she is a drugs cheat. Now if we can only get rid of Andy Murray like this then I'll be happy.

Re: Sharapova Banned
Oh for goodness sake, she has long blond hair and long sleek legs she is clearly innocent.
