Illegal downloading officially classed as a sin.
Bishops in Spain have declared in their synod paper that illegal streaming breaks one of the 10 commandments:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...ilm-downloads/ I always thought that the 10 commandments were set in stone, but whilst researching this article, it appears that interpretation and the numbering are different according to different religions. This explains why some say this sin comes under no 7 and others no 10! |

So as an atheist I'm good to illegally download to my hearts content?

Theft is a sin and breaks command 8 (Do not steal). And it doesn't matter if you don't believe in the "law" it still applies - ignorance is no excuse even in our earthly courts. And I would agree that much theft also breaks command 10 about not desiring what isn't yours. In fact breaking command 10 often is the root of breaking the others.
(And command 7 is Don't commit adultery.) |

Evil is the root of all evil. Religion is just an excuse, as is Money. After all, both can be used for good as well, and you rarely see someone describing anything as the root of all good.

People say that money is the root of all evil, but it's the love of money that is the root of all evil.

The fact that you run this site without payment (when you could be earning money elsewhere) shows that you do have some altruistic qualities. |
