Samsung remote & the V+ box problem.

I've managed to set up my Samsung TV remote to control my V+ box.

It can change channels etc, but I can't get it to FF/rewind/play etc.

Is this not possible, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Wouldn't it be easier to set your V+ remote to control your TV?

It's a Smart TV remote that makes the TV respond to my voice which I like. It also operates the Freesat box for the missing VM channels, so I've managed to get rid of the one remote.

Also, the TV has Smart TV for apps etc, I don't think that the V+ remote could cope with all the features.

If I can't use the Smart Remote for operating the V+ fully, I might do as you suggest and have to use one for the TV/satellite and one for the V+ - with both operating the basic functions like volume, CH up/down etc.

Which series Samsung TV do you have? I have similar problems with my H series Samsung TV with my TiVo box.

Unfortunately it's down to Samsung to resolve. The remote codes haven't really ever changed for Virgin Media although there are some differences between the V+ HD and TiVo code set due to functionality.

Other companies such as Logitech or One-For-All don't seem to struggle in ensuring that all the appropriate buttons work.

Mines an H series too.
