How long for modem to update to 200meg
 

Hi all
My speed upgrade was scheduled for March, but yesterday I got the message to invite me to upgrade, which I did. How long has it taken for people to then get the speed increase?

I have tried rebooting my router etc, but still only getting the 150 meg service (168960000 bps)

you need to give it 48 hours and then you can ring up if it hasn't come through. Chances are it will come down tonight and it will automatically reboot.

Lol - I am not kidding, as you sent your message my router just rebooted itself and... 220000000 :-)

Think of all the things you can do now that you couldn't do before !

Mmm, not much except enjoy speeds tests. Have fun anyway (or now downgrade to 150 mb and save money; they really don't like that !)

Yes very good point. However, by coincidence I probably did a good job last night of using at least a high % of the 200 megs as I was resyncing 40 gigs of OneDrive data (which normally runs at full speed), streaming FLAC music in 1 room via Sonos and watching 4K video on Netflix

Ordered mine on the 22nd December, still not changed.. lol

Likely to be on 300 off the bat here so won't get to enjoy waiting for upgrades.

When i placed my order for 200mb by phone they did it while i was on the phone within less than 2 mins.

They do say tho it can take upto 48hours. Those biscuits wont eat themselves you know.

Well went on the online chat yesterday and asked.....

Apparrently it is ready in area 14, but not my part of area 14 lol
They need to repair some cables ??

Who knows :rolleyes:

Still get full speed on 152 pretty much allday so not worried

Area 14 is a billing area. It's nothing to do with the network that serves you or the upgrade programme. The upgrades are made ready by individual hubsite which is a much smaller area than the billing ones.
