Name this film (70/80s)
 

I remember a film many years ago, but not it name. (70/80s)

What I remember is a new power source come on line but wipes out everyone, except those at the moment of death.

One guy was about to drop a toaster in his bath, a guy was being held underwater (Aboriginal/Kiwi), and a woman (possible overdose)

But as thing go along they find out this system is going to start again.

It could be Australian/New Zealand).

Any Ideas to film buffs?
