Why isn't TiVo giving me any suggestions?
 

Had TiVo installed for about three weeks, and generally love it. However, I was looking forward to getting lots of suggestions, as I do enjoy discovering new shows. But...although we've been recording lots of things and rating lots of shows, so far we have had just one suggestion :( Any idea why this might be? Thanks in advance.

How many thumbs (up or down) are you giving things when you rate them? Single thumbs don't carry much weight. Give 3 thumbs to things you really like or hate.

Are your suggestions switched on? Might be worth a check.

We turned off automatic recording of suggestions, but I didn't realise that you could actually switch suggestions off completely. Maybe that's what I've been doing wrong! Thanks, I'll investigate that :)

If you enable the suggestions, it will not affect your recordings in any way because they will always take priority.

So you may as well turn them on, you never know when you might run out of things to watch and you might just find a few things on there that you've missed!
