wireless USB device?
 
Just wondering if wireless usb devices are limited to the speed the usb can transfer data?

I have one but on speed test it doesn't seem to go above 35mb. could be the site though giving out crap results

The original USB1.1 was limited to 12 Mb/s (fast mode). USB 2.0 is maxed out at 480Mb/s and the latest USB 3 is 5Gb/s. As you can see USB2 has more than enough speed to handle a wifi connection

WiFi has other speed limits related to the amount of spectrum (bandwidth) that the device uses.

thanks I thought so, just seemed a bit odd I was only get about 35mb on speed test

Wireless USB devices are so rare they may as well not exist.

USB wireless devices can be limited to 40Mbps depending on their design.
