Archbishop of Canterbury doubts God's presence
"Saturday morning, I was out and as I was walking I was praying and saying: 'God, why - why is this happening?" he told the BBC.
"Where are you in all this?' And then engaging and talking to God. Yes, I doubt." The Archbishop of Canterbury has admitted the Paris attacks left him questioning the presence of God. On one occasion a year ago, he was again asking for divine intervention in tragedy and injustice. At the time he said: "I ended up saying to God ‘Look this is all very well but isn’t it about time you did something – if you’re there.' http://www.independent.co.uk/news/pe...-a6743846.html Xmas is coming and no doubt people will be out there again thanking God. or will they? are times changing? has God got away with it for too long? |
