No Internet connection problem
 

My friend has Virgin connection on his tablet which connect to the VM network is ok.

He has his SH2 set to router mode.

The problem is on his desktop pc which he has connected to his SH2 by Ethernet cable it is not connecting to the VM network.

He has swapped Ethernet cable over just to confirm the Ethernet cable is ok also and connected it to another Ethernet port on the SH2 to check the port is ok.

Any ideas anyone?

Had the same/similar problem yesterday - resolved it by rebooting my desktop - hope this helps.

I phoned my friend and he said he had rebooted his desktop several times without success.

Has he tried the network troubleshooter and, if so, what error(s) did he get?

From his desktop PC can he see other devices on the network, e.g. his tablet?

When that happened on my last PC the Network Interface on the Motherboard had failed. Think the failure was probably related to a violent thunderstorm that night which shutdown the PC, I had no network connection when I restarted it! I could have installed a new NIC but instead used a spare USB wireless network adapter I had.
