Thought someone would ask that!

Not qualified to explain it correctly here but i use it as an alternative to torrents by just loading in an nzb file of the stuff i want to leech without sharing.

I am sure someone else could offer a better explanation if they have the time as there is alot more to it than what i said.

It is a very powerful Newsgroup reader.

It can also be used to download files from newsgroups.

What type of file you download is your choice.

VM's newsgroups are at news.virginmedia.com

NZB files are part of the program, it's designed to enable a user to view, sort and download files placed on USENET. It can also read usenet text files but it isn't designed as such and
the feature is limited.

Usenet is older than the internet itself and the text side of it predates yahoo groups. The binary (file) side is used for many legal and not so legal purposes.

VM do supply a VM server but to get the best out of the binary side of USENET then a premium server is the way to go.

No it's not ;) Outlook express could read newsgroup better than newsbin :D
