We are about twenty years behind in medical science to deal with this

a colleague of mine was in a motorcycle accident, they thought they may have to amuptate his leg, but the clever doctors/surgeons here in England have got the bones to grow together and become one again, by stretching the 2 separate pieces over time, in a frame round his leg.

admitedly, it's not a head, but still amazing stuff

He has worked in the UK as well

This report is describing something that is impossible at this time. I'm perplexed as to why they would be saying this :confused:
edit: unless his spinal cord wasn't severed, just his spinal ligaments ....
