Virgin say they will supply sky

My daughter has just moved into a new build house. The builder said the homes came with virgin cable but virgin say they cannot connect just now so they will supply sky. Does this make sense?

It probably means they will pay for a Sky connection till Virgin Media becomes available?

A decade or so ago when VM could not provide me with broadband in my area yet, to stop me leaving they offered to pay my BT line rental so that I could get another broadband provider till VM (or ntlworld as it was called) could supply it.

That's what I hope is happening. She is waiting for an email copy of their proposal. She found the phone call confusing! But in the meantime Sy have sent a text saying they are coming on Wednesday!

I've never heard of such arrangement, but get it in writing first. If you want VM make sure you don't get locked into a contract with another supplier.

I am with Sky Retentions and we get this from users in specific areas that can't get Broadband from us, like some places in Hull is stuck with a company called KC, who is woeful at best, slowly some areas in Hull are starting to allow BT, Sky, VM in..

But yeah sad customers those ones when you tell them, sure you can get TV, but not a phone line or broadband.
