Mates Rates
I am on a mates rates deal which started at £57.99 for TV, 152Mb and phone (which I don't use, too many spam calls for previous owner), this has slowly risen to £65 over the last 6 months or so and I was told the price was fixed can someone help?
Also when the install was done "my mate" was unable to do it due to paternity leave and had 2 cowboys come and I have found that they have hardly buried the cable leading to my property, at one point the cable is viable if I lift the paving slab, I am going to be having a new pathway installed and this needs burying deeper, who can I speak to to get this sorted as the menu options are of no help. If FTTC via a BT line was available I would be going straight to PlusNet and stuffing the TV, not happy as I am getting ripped off, nothing extra for it and to find the cable is hardly buried (was new install as I was refurbing house so only come across now as I come to work on bits) I am a little naffed off. Re: Mates Rates
What exactly are you wanting for nothing here lol ? and if the Tv is that bad just get it chopped and have a standalone broadand connection .. no phone no tv :)
And if your 'mate' was responsible for the installation then the ball is in his court if it went kahoogies up :) |
Re: Mates Rates

Re: Mates Rates
If you're on a 'mates rate' deal then ask your mate or call Virgin and speak to someone, asking on a forum is not going to get you anywhere, however i think the general price rises are for everyone

Re: Mates Rates
Mates Rates isnt a fixed price, its not that good a deal as it was as folk can haggle with retentions and get a better price. Virgin cable isnt burred deep, certainly if your getting paving done then you need to get the cable pulled up by the pavers so they dont cut through it when they dig
