1.6M on 152M connection.

Anybody else having very poor speeds in South Manchester tonight?

Ping is 8ms, U/L is 12M so that's OK but DL is 1.6M According to Speedtest.net, although I didn't need to do a speed teest to know that!

SH1 log did show 39 T3 timeouts and 1 T4 time out but no idea when they came in. I cleared the log and none at all since but DL speed still bad.

I have checked the VM service status site and no issues there, but when I click to run a test on my line it starts (to test my SH as, states 'testing MAS address ....', the progress bar moves a bit, then it says tests failed.

FYI: I am testing via a hard wired Ethernet link between PC>Modem>SH1. Gigabit.

But same poor results when testing/using my iPad and iPhone on wifi.

Any ideas?

Update:

This morning after 2 T4 and 1 T3 time out over night, normal DL speed 'appears' to have been resumed.

Is there anything I can/need to do to improve things?

No, those power levels look OK.

your power levels are fine which means there is nothing wrong with the connection your end. When you see T3 and T4 timeouts it means there is a network issue VM's end. ALl you can do is ring the support and hope that enough people have rang up, they notice it, and escalate it to networks.

getting a similar issue myself, but no one at virgin seems to want to reply

seriously considering a new provider.
