150Mb FTP problems

Hi Team,

Had a superhub 2 (ac) delivered as the wifi on my original superhub was rubbish.

Installed and all working. One small issue FTP speeds are knocking around 3Mb, a quarter of what I should be getting and what i did get on my old superhub when using FTP.

If I download a large file via HTTP (plenty of large test files) it downloads at the full whack. Nothing internally has changed so it looks like the superhub2 is causing me issues.

Any special config I should be doing?

Which FTP site are you testing with? Have you tried different FTP servers?

Hi,

I have tried multiple FTP servers. HTTP downloads from the same locations are at full whack yet FTP is a lot slower. Unsure why. Will keep playing.

This could be a firewall thing. FTP isn't straightforward, there are both active and passive connections. Active connections can be much slower, but passive require the firewall to be up to scratch and forwarding correct ports.

Can you use Filezilla to try and download/upload a file, then copy/paste the log it shows? Feel free to blank out any external IP address.
