sad/ashamed to say I hadn't heard of him until saw it mentioned on facebook, so read a bbc article about him, so am now wondering, how come I had never heard of him!

apparently he was very modest but still, shocking his amazing acts are largely unknown :(

Sir Nicholas died peacefully in his sleep. It is an end he deserved having helped saved the lives of so many children.

A compassionate man with a clear conscience. Rest Peacefully.

I remember they did something along the lines of This is your life on him many years ago where he got to meet many of the children who were then adults.
