More copper for your £

it seems we get more police person for our pound these days ;)

Police uniform suppliers SELL OUT of giant 56-inch waist belts

Uniform stockists at Emergency Service Supplies have completely sold out of the XXXL size of their Portec SD1 duty belt for heavy-built officers with waists measuring between 50 and 56 inches, with only one XXL belt remaining.

Is the belt for over the Stab vest or outside the Hi-Viz jacket?

If you've got a 56" waist then you don't need a stab vest. The blubber will do fine.;)

Talking about police, have you ever seen anything as despicable as this?

View at your discretion,it's created a huge storm on another forum I use.
If admin wish to delete it,I have no problem.

EDIT - Removed, not sure we need to see a death on here. Plus it's in the USA and totally irrelevant to the topic.

If you wait a while Derek will be along with a perfectly reasonable explanation that also coincidentally sticks up for his colleagues at the same time

No need, there are plenty of experts here who know absolutely everything about how Policing should be done but won't tell anyone else.

Anyway yes duty belts come in all sizes and going over armour, 2-3 layers of clothing etc means larger sizes are often ordered. Mine is 40-46 inches (I think, it's been a while since I've been in uniform) and my normal belt size is 30-32.

That said a single supplier 'selling out', with no indication of how many they had initially and the same belt being available from many other UK retailers doesn't exactly show there is an obesity epidemic amongst UK cops.
