could this be fitted before signing up with vm

I have bought a house which has vm cabling outside the property but not going into the building, as it is still empty and will not be moving in till around december, is it possible to get the cable installed inside now before we move in, we do not want it tacked all around the newly decorated rooms, at the moment the rooms are not finished so this will be an ideal time before plastering/painting.
my wife does not want to see cables all around the room and has said if you cannot do it this way we will have use another provider as we have a sky dish and the cables already under the floorboards I like vm than sky
please let me know asap if this can be done as the rooms are next on the list of work needed

buy the right cable and chase it all in just check where VM is likely to install the box so you can guesstimate what slack you will need.

or you could sink in some hosepipe or conduit and use string or wire as dummy runs to pull any cabling through later

This is what I would do personally. If you get VM to install now you will have to pay till you move in

Conduit under the floorboards is the way to go.

When VM eventually come to do the install, the tech will be most happy to put the omnibox on the inner wall, right where the cable comes in from outside. You can confidently run conduit from that point to wherever else in your house you think you might want a modem or a set top box.

I would say steer clear of cabling yourself. Unless you use triple shielded Webro HD100, you risk the installer refusing to connect it. Put conduit in so he can pull the correct cable to where its required.

Better yet, get it installed now while the house is needing renovated so cable can be left

Not ideal if he's not moving in til December. That's six month's subs for nothing.

Give the Sales team a call and see if it can be installed then immediately put on the "Time Out" package. This package is intended for people going on long holidays etc, but could work here too. I think it's £5 a month.

I guess a pre install visit might be useful

just get a pre site install booked on and ask the engineer for a length of cable, then cancel after the visit... that way you have the correct cable and lengths
