Windows Media Player Query

When I try to burn a CD on Media Player the blank CD drawer opens & tells me I am using another something else at the same time. which I am not. they tell me to update a driver, which I do not know how to do

If I try again it seems to be ok a second time, & burns without any problem
Any help would be appreciated. Nash ;)

I dumped Media Player as a burner years ago. The free program CDburnerXP is far more reliable.

When I went into CDburnerXP I was asked to update my drivers as 22 of them were out of date, Then when I agreed to update they wanted to charge me... so I came out of it all together. Help

This box just popped up & said I needed new drivers, I don't think it had anything to do the CD burner. ;) so I deleted it when they asked for money,

I just panic when I have to download sometimes ;)

I think that might have been a chancer virus. I'd do a scan just in case, especially if you were downloading from the correct site.
