tried to log on - 'changeme' password not recognised


paper clip into the hole - reset - details entered off bottom of hub (changeme)
still not recognised

same happened to me a few weeks back.
tech was out on an unrelated visit, and she just swapped the sh over.
says it's quite common to happen apparently.

I had the same thing when my shub was new, a pin hole reset did the trick.

It's quite common to have to hold a hard reset button, like the "pinhole", for a number of seconds (could be 10 or even more) - waiting for lights to flash on the front of the router or other such signal - to get a true full reset. If you press and release too fast you may just get a standard reboot, or something in between!

Indeed, the gold standard is what's sometimes called the "30-30-30" reset. 30 seconds on. Bit overkill but should basically cover practically anything. If that doesn't work, the router's broken:
