International Calls

Does VM do anything like the Post Office's £4pm for inclusive overseas calls to South Africa?
http://www.postoffice.co.uk/home-pho...national-calls

I know it does Talk International for £2pm which offers international calls at cheaper rates but no inclusive calls.

It's for someone without broadband so VOIP services not possible. They do not want to leave Virgin.

If not Virgin, does anyone else do an inclusive service on VM or is it just a case of using a company which offers cheap rates like Planet Numbers and paying per call?

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions and guidance.

Re: International Calls

There's another cheap company to consider. 18185.co.uk is 3ppm compared to VM's laughable 105.19ppm flat rate or 20ppm rate if you subscribe to the additional Talk International service. I always use 18185 for international calls or most other calls for that matter. USA is 1ppm compared to VM's 30.64ppm.

You'll find calling someone in South Africa on 18185 three times cheaper than talking to your next door neighbour on Virgin's phone. Scandalous really.

Re: International Calls

Have you tried http://call27.com

I used them for following a friend on a tour of Australia and they have local access numbers so at weekends (or othertimes depending on package) South Africa is only 1.2p

Only issue is that you have to register and buy voice credit off them

Many thanks, much appreciated, I will forward your suggestions on. Virgin's international calls even with the Talk International line saver are a rip-off.
