Protesters target Farage family lunch

Quote:

Anti-UKIP protesters have invaded a pub in south London where party leader Nigel Farage was having lunch.

Mr Farage was in the Queen's Head in Downe with his wife and two younger children at the time.

Demonstrators first went to the George & Dragon, believing it to be Mr Farage's local, before they found him.

They said they chased the family out of the pub and jumped on the politician's car bonnet as he drove away. Mr Farage later branded them "****".

I reckon lunatics like this do more for Farage's PR effort than any Yank or Aussie guru...

Let's hope Plod can find these people and charge them for damaging property and frightening children. A man should be able to go to the pub with his family and not be confronted by idiots.

As much as I dislike Farage I think this is very wrong ,he should be able to eat with his wife and kids without being chased from a pub and his car vandalised

These people are **** and their tactics do them no favours.

I'm no fan of Farage but attacking his family like that is bang out of order.

Definitely. No justification for protesting whilst he is just having time with his family. Going after politicians themselves in such a way, instead of their politics, is pathetic. These people have just let hate and anger consume them until they've lost all ability to act like a rational human being.

Disgusting behaviour - well out of order.

Presumably these morons prefer mob rule to democracy.

Reminds me of the low life who targeted Charles and Camilla in C. London a few years ago.

Funny but the "left" are more against free speech and alternative positions other than their own, than any right leaning factions.

I never understand idiots like this.

Sure, Farage leads an awful political party, but you counter him at the dispatch box, not by jumping on his car and scaring his family. Utterly stupid, but just about as stupid as...

Haha, no. And using this an example of people who are left leaning favouring censorship is frankly absurd. That is unless you want me to use every case of the EDL/BNP causing trouble to show that all people on the "right" are racist nutjobs?

He certainly has some people scared that the political status quo could be in for a change.
