When was the last time you used a bus?

Yesterday morning. I use them most days, and for that end buy a 4 weekly ticket.

4/5 years ago a weekend before Christmas to avoid the mad people in the car park.

Then it started snowing.

Tuseday. We have 13 buses an hour to Oxford during the day and I have a free bus pass.

Re: Buses

I used one last Friday afternoon for the first time in a long time to go to Cardiff with a mate to celebrate my birthday. We decided to use the bus because the train station is a 15 minute walk from town.

After just a mile or so of the jerking, weaving up hill and down hill through the traffic I felt sick. When we came home the following day we used the train, it was relaxing, took 42 minutes instead of 1 hour and 12 minutes like the bus.

We had a nice gentle stroll from the station enjoying the fresh air and we wont be using my bright idea of the bus again.

Christmas time when we were visiting my mother in Cornwall as the car is US at the moment. One nice thing is that they run double deckers and from the top you can see over the granite walls on the roadside. A view normally denied to the car driver.

Never used one in our home town though.

My local bus firm doesn't really seem to like me trying to use the bus service in my chair so I must admit I either use the local community bus service or don't bother with the bus at all and have to find another way.

Before we got the car we used to hate going on the bus as there always seemed to have some noisy riff raff on there at certain times of the day and night.

Re: Buses

Cardiff centre has been made more-and-more car-unfriendly.

So it's use the bus and get stuck in traffic jams, or use the car and get stuck in traffic jams.

At least on the bus I get to read whilst travelling.

However, the bus fares have gone up again (£3.60 for return ticket for about 3 miles each way), so I shall be ignoring the centre completely soon enough.
