When your VM PVR HD starts to get full, it must delete old recordings in order to make room for new ones.

Well, apparently, this is also the way our mind works when learning new things- a one in, one out policy if you like!

I didn't think this was a new discovery.

The brain isn't an infinite amount of storage so of course things get forgotten or overwritten as such.

I always thought it was the case that the brain records everything that it processes, it's the retrieval of this information that is problematic for us.
