Miliband rules out SNP coalition

Quote:

Ed Miliband has ruled out a Labour-SNP coalition in the event of a hung Parliament after May's election.

The Labour leader said any alliance would "not happen" as there were "big differences" between the two parties

"There will be no SNP ministers in any government I lead," he said, claiming such talk was "scare-mongering" by his Conservative opponents.

Shadow chancellor Ed Balls refused multiple times to rule out any deal on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show on Sunday, saying Labour was working to secure a majority.
Wonder if he's had a chat with his colleague Sadiq Khan who did just that during an interview with Shelagh Fogarty on LBC about an hour ago. There will be 'no deals' he said twice during the interview from 5'45" to 6'45".

I wouldn't trust Ed "Two kitchens" Milliband to keep any promise. He's just a slimey as the rest of them and would sell his soul to Beelzebub if he thought that would secure the keys to No10.

Yes, the old 'two kitchens' deception - no self respecting son of a Marxist wouldn't want to look too much like a fat cat or Tory toff would they eh so a dull, spartan place to use as being in some way representative of your home must come in quite handy... :D

I'm sure we will be told that the SNP supporting a Labour Government òn a case-by-case basis is not a coalition, but is "informal power-sharing"....

Interesting quote from Nicola Sturgeon
Quote:

Asked why Labour would do any deal with a party that wants to break up the UK, she said: “Presumably Ed Miliband does want to be Prime Minister.”

Interesting quote from Nicola Sturgeon

Yes I don't think anyone expected a full coalition deal. The SNP's demands are rather high and I don't think they want to compromise on any deals that may hurt them in the 2016 Scottish Elections. They've seen what happens to the Liberal Democrats this time around after all.
