Has anyone downloaded the Open Source version of Command and Conquer?

Have the original version of Red Alert and The Generals but have not played them for a long time and doubt they would run on Windows 8.1 anyway.

Aspyr has just released a version for the Mac but there are quite a few bad reports with many having problems running it on the Mac, so I decided not to buy it for my iMac.

You can actually download a mac version from the link above but I keep my Mac for important stuff and run other less important on my Win 8.1
