Beko FNN 244W Fridge Lamp

Right Guys, for some reason during the day the light in my fridge has packed up.

Fridge and freezer are still working but i think its the bulb. Is it safe to order a lamp online through the post or will it get damaged? If not where can i get one local....

This seems to be the type i need....

SES cap bulb is the beast to look out for at local supermarket or B&Q.
10watt or 15watt pygmy bulb to use.

Before you do that, unscrew it and screw it back in. I have a Beko fridge that has the same problem from time to time and that fixed it.

Otherwise, Ebay away - if it gets broken, the vendor should replace it if they want to get good feedback. I order bulbs from Ebay all the time

I was asked to change a fridge bulb by a neighbour. It wasn't the bulb though, the door had shifted so the switch wasn't being actuated. Plus the door was not sealing properly, therefore it was using more electricity. 10 minute job with a screwdriver to realign the door. The bulbs are more or less industry standard, most shops sell them.

I bought a special (expensive!) bulb for my freezer when the light went and it lasted all of a month:( Now I've put in a bog standard cheapest 15w pygmy and it's still going strong years later.

Check your local supermarket, they usually stock them.
