"Around half of Ukip voters say they are prejudiced against people of other races, new opinion research has found.


When Ukip voters were asked by the pollster YouGov whether they would describe themselves as prejudiced “against people of other races”, only 49 per cent said they were not prejudiced.

42 per cent of the party’s supporters admitted to being “a little prejudiced” while 6 per cent said they were “very prejudiced” – a total of 48 per cent.

The results of the poll suggest that Ukip voters admit to being significantly more racially prejudiced than the population as a whole."

Racism will grow if immigration is not reduced or halted, and acts of terror will stoke the fires too. Failure to integrate is also a major factor.

Does that matter especially? 'Other' races would be races other than that of the person being asked.

I think a considerable number of the electorate are quite prepared to condone certain degrees of racism to sate their own grievances.

The second diagram / chart shows that those who consider themselves to be of a racist bent (of whatever political hue) are plentiful in the piolitical sphere but just not as open and candid (some might say "stupid") in how they exercise those views as certain other parties..

I doubt that, UKIP don't draw a lot of support from black people or other minority groups. Even so I don't understand the relevance. Even if they were UKIP supporters it would still be racist.

I will make my mind up when i walk into the voting booth, Then and only then will i decide who will get my vote. All this rubbish being posted in the papers and reported on the news channels about all the parties is boring me to tears. I already have a good idea who on this forum will vote for who by there posts :)

Some folks are clearly crapping themselves about UKIP's presence - they'd prefer it if the status quo endured. UKIP is the cat amongst the establishment pigeons and that's in large part their appeal. Good I say! :D

Several of my "minority group" friends are all saying they will vote UKIP because they are "sick of the European economic migrants and those who are coming here from Africa via Europe". Racist? Possibly. Realist? Probably.
