My local Asda moved the flowers from by the veggies about a month ago. I wonder if this was the reason.

Is it wrong that I'm questioning how the hell someone could mistake a daffodil for anything else?

If you can't tell the difference between an onion and a daffodil bulb should you be allowed to shop for food

Whilst the bulbs might be erroneously eaten, stems and flowers? Honestly some people shouldn't saved from their stupidity.

I can't remember seeing daffodil bulbs being sold in amongst the flowers on sale in my local supermarkets. The only way I have seen them is planted up in pots. How anyone could buy one of these, usually quite costly, pots thinking that they were edible baffles me. I do sometimes buy the window sill 'cut and grow' herbs but they are always clearly labelled and usually not amongst the flowers and plants on sale.

As for mistaking the leaves for something edible, again I have never seen them being sold on their own so how dickens did the people who are supposed to have eaten them in error miss the fact that they were bought as part of a bunch of flowers.

More Health and Safety nonsense. Anyone eating a daffodil bulb might qualify for a Darwin award.

We do, it's just battering and deep frying them removes any poisons.

Hi there, don't panic, but I am in hospital after I poisoned myself. I accidentally ate what I thought was an onion, but was actually a daffodil bulb.
Doctors say I will be out in the Spring
