Tenda N60 With Virgin Media set up help

Hi there wonder if any one could give me any help on what settings I need.

I am on Virgin Media and got the Tenda N60 router so that I could put my SH2 into Modem mode in order to change the DNS settings to use Unblock-US.

So far I have succefully set the DNS on the router so my devices PS4, kindle etc can watch US netflix.

My problem is I have a Roku stick which I am struggerling to set up.

I have followed the instructions given by Unblock us and think I have set up the Static route within the Router, but they do not provide instructions on how to do this on the Tenda so Iam not 100% sure I have done this correctly.

In terms of the set up within Roku it get as far as asking me to link the device with my account (US) when this is done the screen does not change on the ROKU and just stays with the code, it will let me generate a new code but will not move beyond that.

I have been in contact with Unbluck US who are helping generically but as I said I am not sure I am putting in the settings in the correct place.

Has any one on here any experiance with this? if so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated as Im pulling my hair out.
Many thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to set up where but there should not be any static routes anywhere.

What instructions exactly are you trying to follow?

I have subcribed to Unblock-US, that allows switching of Netflix regions inparticular the States. However in order to get this to work with thr Roku Stick you need to set static route on the router of 8.8.8.8 . The only problem is I am not sure where this goes. Hope that makes more sense.
Thanks

Normally, no, but according to http://support.unblock-us.com/custom...rticles/323038, newer versions of the roku firmware have Google's DNS servers hardcoded as secondary DNS servers, so you need to block access to them at router level to view US Netflix content.

Thankyou for making it clear what Iam trying to say. This is therefore where I am unsure what values I put where to acheive the above.

That's not a static route, that's blackholing. You'd be better off just using an ordinary firewall rule, since that is by definition the very basis of what firewalls are designed to do. Both of which are however 'dirty hacks' which may or may not work depending on what the client device is programmed to do...

Having a quick look at the N60 manual, the Port Filter function (Section 4.3.2) would probably be the easiest way to do what you want to achieve. Custom routing is there as well if you want to use the dirty blackholing method and that should accept the same values as stated on Unblock-Us's website.
