Apology for 'Muslim-only Birmingham' comment.

Bless.

"An American terrorism commentator speaking on Fox News has been forced to apologise for describing Birmingham as a "Muslim-only city" where non-Muslims "don't go in".

Steven Emerson told the channel that in London "Muslim religious police" beat "anyone who doesn't dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire".
He later issued an apology for his "terrible error".

But many on social media have been ridiculing his comments.
One claimed: "Birmingham's refuse collectors are all Bin Laden."

Another tweet said: "As someone born and raised in Birmingham, I must admit there was a pressure to read the Kerrang.""

Millions of Americans watch that bovine excreta and take it as gospel. They are, however, mercifully not the majority and their average age is very high which is a good sign. Younger generations are far less interested in the vile propaganda that Fox pass off as news.

Think of Fox News as a more extreme version of an imaginary UKIP TV and you're about there.

Nonsense maybe, not as a big a nonsense as people are trying to make out.

The shock claim has been made in a bombshell Government report into how poor white people feel about immigration..

British cities have lawless ‘no-go areas’ comparable with the most dangerous parts of Brazil, Mexico and the U.S., according to a United Nations drugs chief.
Professor Hamid Ghodse claimed Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester are on a par with the drug and murder capitals of the world.

Two Christian preachers were stopped from handing out Bible extracts by police because they were in a Muslim area, it was claimed yesterday.
They say they were told by a Muslim police community support officer that they could not preach there and that attempting to convert Muslims to Christianity was a hate crime.

...
It comes amid growing concern over the development of Islamic 'no-go areas'.

...
A senior Church of England bishop, the Right Reverend Michael Nazir-Ali, warned recently that it is hard for non-Muslims to live and work in some areas where radicals and clerics are trying to impose an Islamic character.

Interesting, thank you.

Maxie Hayles, Chairman of Birmingham Racial Attacks Monitoring Unit, said he felt that the report’s findings were ‘dangerous’.

He said: “Reports like this should be about cohesion, not divisive, and I would seriously question the validity of the methodology used to carry it out.
That speaks volumes. Reports based on surveys should be about the data, nothing else. The data may make people feel uncomfortable but it is what it is. Stating that reports should be about cohesion is saying that the reports should be twisted to fit a pre-conceived notion of the results rather than representing the actual results.

If you prefer Maxie is full of excrement when judging said report and is upset because it doesn't fit his idea of what the report's results should be.

From your first link.

"The report quotes an anonymous male contributor, aged in his 40s," The remainder of the report (including quotes from white residents of the area he mentions) would seem to suggest that this poor chap is the one with issues.

Indeed he himself says "‘Perhaps I need to work harder in understanding the different cultures and things like that,"

Professor Hamid Ghodse is a dobber. I can't recall the last time there were mass killings and beheadings in those cities.

Fox News is one of the best entertainment channels on the TV.

I always tune in to the O'Reily Factor and Hannity when I feel like having a good laugh.

You could not make up some of the bollocks they put on air.

Maybe he mixed it up with Birmingham, Alabama? We all know what American geographical knowledge is like.

Heard him being interviewed on the radio earlier. He seemed extremely contrite I must say - can't imagine any of our glorious leaders being similarly candid in admitting they'd made a big mistake. :tu: for that anyway.

How could anyone mix up Bradford and Birmingham?
